Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Application

These Terms and Conditions govern participation in scuba diving courses promoted through PADIschool.com and organized by Underwater Academy Europe.

Enrollment in any course constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.


2. Instructors and Training Standards

All courses are conducted exclusively by:

  • Certified Instructors

  • Certified Assistants

holding valid certifications issued by Professional Association of Diving Instructors and currently in active teaching status.

All training activities are organized and delivered in full compliance with the official standards applicable to each course.


3. Pricing and Contents of Recreational Courses

For the following training activities:

  • scuba diving experiences

  • PADI Open Water Diver course

  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course

the advertised course price includes:

  • use of the required scuba diving equipment

  • official PADI digital learning materials

  • certification fees

  • applicable VAT and taxes


4. Continuing Education, Specialty and Professional Courses

For all courses following the PADI Open Water Diver certification, including PADI Specialty Courses and PADI Professional Courses, the course price does not include:

  • scuba diving equipment rental

  • official PADI training materials

  • diving insurance coverage

  • certification fees

These costs are entirely borne by the student unless otherwise expressly specified in the description of the individual course.


5. Swimming Pool Access

For all courses that require:

  • access to a private swimming pool

  • freediving training sessions

  • scuba skills practice or training sessions

any swimming pool entrance fees are not included in the course price and remain the responsibility of the student.


6. Diving Insurance

Valid diving insurance coverage is mandatory for participation in all courses.

Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver Courses

For the following courses:

  • PADI Open Water Diver

  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

diving insurance is the responsibility of the student, but it may be provided through the training center at a discounted entry-level rate.

Other Courses

For all other courses, students must already hold valid diving insurance coverage and provide the relevant policy details to the Underwater Academy center at the time of course registration.

If the student does not hold a valid policy, an insurance policy may be activated through DAN Europe, with:

  • validity of 12 months from the activation date

  • costs borne entirely by the student

  • pricing as indicated on the official DAN Europe website


7. Use of Equipment

Any equipment provided during training activities is supplied free of charge on a loan basis exclusively for participation in the course.

Students agree to return all equipment to the Underwater Academy center in proper working condition at the end of the training activities.

Damage or Loss

Students are responsible for any:

  • damage

  • loss

  • improper use of equipment

except for normal wear and tear resulting from proper use.

In the event of damage:

  • the student will be required to reimburse the cost of repairs

  • if the equipment cannot be repaired, the student will be required to replace it with new equipment of the same brand and model

If the item is no longer available on the market, an equitable compensation of €100.00 may be requested.


8. Liability Toward Third Parties

Each student is personally responsible for any damage caused to third parties or their property during training activities.

In such cases, Underwater Academy shall be held harmless and released from any liability.


9. Payments and Installments

Course fees may be paid in up to three installments.

At the time of registration, the following payments are required:

  • a deposit equal to 30% of the total course price

  • payment for training materials, where not included in the course price

  • payment for insurance coverage, where required

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 48 hours before the scheduled final examination date.


10. Outstanding Payments

In the event of partial or full non-payment of the amounts due, Underwater Academy reserves the right to withhold the issuance of the certification granted by Professional Association of Diving Instructors until all outstanding payments have been settled in full.

12. Jurisdiction

Any dispute arising from the interpretation or application of these Terms and Conditions shall fall under the jurisdiction of the court located in the place where the course was conducted.
