This page outlines the terms and conditions for the use and rental of scuba diving equipment provided by PADIschool by Underwater Academy Europe, for both students and certified divers.
🧾 Scope of the Policy
This policy regulates:
- the use of equipment during courses
- short-term and long-term rental
- customer responsibilities
- financial conditions in case of damage, loss, or non-return
Equipment may be provided on a free loan basis or rental, depending on the service purchased.
⚖️ Customer Responsibility
The customer is responsible for the equipment:
- from the moment of delivery
- for the entire duration of use
- until full return
The customer must:
- use the equipment properly
- follow staff instructions
- avoid misuse or unauthorized use
🤿 Use During Courses
During training activities:
- equipment may only be used within authorized sessions
- all activities must be supervised by a qualified instructor
❗ It is strictly forbidden to:
- use equipment independently
- use equipment outside scheduled activities
Violations
Any violation may result in:
- immediate suspension
- possible disciplinary action
- compensation claims
💼 Equipment Rental
Daily rental (up to 3 days)
- No deposit required
Rental over 3 days
- A deposit of up to €140.00 may be required
The deposit:
- is refunded upon return
- is subject to technical inspection
- depends on the condition of the equipment
🎓 Deposit for Students
For course participants:
- a €140.00 deposit is required
- valid for the entire course duration
Refund:
- within 10 working days
- after technical inspection
🔄 Return Conditions
Equipment must be returned:
- complete
- clean
- functional
- in the same condition (normal wear accepted)
🔧 Damage and Repairs
In case of:
- damage
- loss of parts
👉 repair or replacement costs will be charged.
💰 Non-Return or Total Loss
In case of total loss:
- ≤ 6 months → 100% replacement cost
- 6 months + 1 day – 2 years → price -30%
- > 2 years + 1 day → price -30%
⚠️ Specific Cases
Weight belt:
- €15.00 belt
- €7.00 per kg lost
🚫 Use Limitations
Equipment:
- is for personal use only
- cannot be transferred
- cannot be used outside authorized activities
🛟 Safety
Safety is a top priority.
The customer must:
- follow all instructions
- comply with procedures
- report any malfunction
⏱️ Duration and Return
- Equipment must be returned at the end of use
- Daily rental:
- over 24h = +1 rental day charged
✔️ Acceptance
By using the service, the customer:
- fully accepts this policy
- assumes responsibility for any damage or loss
